Whoever decided not to have any Grunts or Jackals in the big action sequence should be fired on the spot, their absence stands out like a sore thumb.ħ. Innie bullets dont kill Elites but when Chief picks up their weapons he does, lol, no reason to not let the Innies kill/wound 1-3/4 of the ElitesĦ. Too much melee combat, with bad Hollywood choreo, I understand that it looks better on camera but I would be more forgiving if the choreo was more John Wick like, and less Power Rangeryĥ. Handguns out all the fucking time instead of primary weapon, looks really fucking weird having a 7+ foot tall armored warrior walking around with a handgun, dont mind some pistol usage (as kinda an easter egg) but its wayyyyyyyy too muchĤ.
Spartans engage in battle with little to no combat tactics, for supposed super soldiers they seem pretty dumb, like spin kicking and elite of stabbing through the stomach then taking the time to lift him upģ. Some unforgivable gaffes, looking at you prop plasma pistol and Chiefs weird ass jumpĢ. Lack of weight, Spartans in Mjolnir and Elites are heavy AF dont always look like it, especially with how weight should effect the environment Devil in the details, small inconsistency's (lack of bullet casing, lack of environmental effects of missed rounds, thermal warping of plasma, dust from impacts, etc) stretches the audiences suspension of disbelief Poor blending of CGI with sets, makes the CGI's characters and objects feel disconnected from the real world Bit of background, longtime Halo fans, since it came out in 01 playing it on a rented Xbox from Blockbuster, read all the books until the Traviss trilogy (story for another day), wanted to give the show a few days to ruminate in my head before i wrote down my opinion.ĬGI is a mixed bag, some really good visceral shots, some really uh not good
